Facilities and activities

Tuchekoi National Park is close to the township of Pomona on the northern end of the Sunshine Coast. Approximately 33 km southeast of Gympie and 135 km north of Brisbane via the Bruce Highway.

What's special

Mount Cooroora, at 439 m, is a prominent feature of the park. It’s distinctive shape visible from many locations on the Sunshine Coast. Tall open forest, woodlands and montane heath plant communities are protected here.

The Mount Cooroora hiking trail takes fit walkers to the top of the mountain and is the location of an annual ‘King of the Mountain’ race. Trails around the base of the mountain provide opportunities for horse and mountain bike riding.
