Camping in Mount Walsh National Park

Bush camping is permitted in all areas of the park. Camping permits are required and fees apply. Permits are available online, over-the-counter or by phone to obtain your camping permit before you arrive.

Please attach your camping tag to your tent in a visible position. Bush camping in Mount Walsh National Park can be closed due to extreme weather events, planned burning operations and wildfires, please check Park alerts for closures or contact the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service Maryborough Office prior to departure, phone: (07) 4121 1800.

Please note: bush camping is only accessible by walking. Bushwalkers should leave the route details and expected time of return with a reliable friend or family member.

Carry emergency food and water for several days, broadcast radio, spare batteries and medical supplies. There are no formal camping facilities in Mount Walsh National Park.
