Welcome

The Aboriginal Traditional Owners of Marpa National Park (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land) (CYPAL) the Lama Lama, or ‘saltwater people’—welcome you to the area and ask that you respect this special place.

Location

Off the east coast of Cape York Peninsula, approximately 20km south-east of Port Stewart, 70km south-east of Coen and 210km north-west of Cooktown

What's special

Sandstone cliff faces and headlands rising steeply from small sheltered beaches provide a dramatic backdrop to the blue waters of the surrounding fringing reef. Marpa National Park (CYPAL) is remote, providing an opportunity for nature-based activities such as birdwatching.
