Camping in Goodedulla National Park

Bush camping is available at Wadlow Yards, Kings Dam and The Palms— see Goodedulla National Park map (PDF, 309K). There are no facilities.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.

Wadlow Yards

Camping area features: open woodland near seasonal creek.

Location: turn east at intersection 93, about 6km north of the park entrance.

Access: the camping area can be reached by 4WD (only).

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites for a maximum of 6 campers.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car.

Camp site surface: dirt, grass.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply). Bring your own clean, milled timber. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: permitted.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent. Read more about things to know before you go.

Bookings: book online, over-the-counter or by phone

Mobile phone coverage: poor, patchy.

Kings Dam

Camping area features: open woodland adjacent to waterhole.

Location: just south of intersection 61, 35km north of the park entrance.

Access: the camping area can be reached by 4WD only.

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites for a maximum of 18 campers.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car.

Camp site surface: dirt, grass.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply). Bring your own clean, milled timber. Fuel stoves are recommended.

The Palms

Camping area features: open woodland adjacent to waterhole on Melaleuca Creek.

Location: on Melaleuca Road, 50km north of the park entrance.

Access: the camping area can be reached by 4WD only.

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites for a maximum of 18 campers.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car.

Camp site surface: dirt, grass.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply). Bring your own clean, milled timber. Fuel stoves are recommended.
