Location

50km north-west of Mackay on the Central Queensland coast, approximately 1025km north of Brisbane

What's special

This ruggedly scenic park includes rainforest, eucalypt forest, beaches, rocky headlands covered in hoop pines, and volcanic rock formations. Visitors can camp and bushwalk. A marine park adjoins.

Visitor facilities update after tropical cyclone Debbie

Tropical cyclone Debbie has damaged natural areas and some facilities within this national park. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service is working to open visitor facilities as quickly as possible. Check for current status of facilities (PDF, 51K) before your visit.
