Camping in Blackbraes National Park

Relax at the Emu Swamp camping area and discover the birdlife that lives near this permanent waterhole and surrounding wetlands.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Access: the camping area can be reached by four-wheel-drive vehicles and camper trailers only. Care must be taken.

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, camper trailers and large groups.

Camp site surface: dirt.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: camp fires are permitted in the fire rings provided. Firewood is not to be collected from the national park.

Generators: not permitted.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, rubbish bags, fuel or gas stove, trowel or shovel and suitable clothing for cold nights. Read more about things to know before you go.
