Planned burn Fitzroy Island National Park

This alert applies to the following parks:

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service intend to conduct a planned burn between Monday 3 and Friday 7 September on Fitzroy Island National Park.

During the planned burn the following walking tracks may be closed from 1 to 3 days:

  • Summit Track
  • Lighthouse Road

The resort, camping area and other walking tracks (Nudey Beach and Secret Garden) will remain open.

Smoke may be seen in the vicinity of Fitzroy Island National Park.

Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.
