Track Closures for Fox Control Program- Mt Coolum National Park, Maroochy River Conservation Park and Maroochy River Wetlands Conservation Park

This alert applies to the following parks:

The 2018 QPWS fox control program will commence from 16th April to 30th August. Control activities are in accordance with protocols by Biosecurity Queensland and QPWS to help protect native plants and wildlife from the impacts of introduced animals. Trapping and removal of foxes will occur during this period.

Some tracks will be temporarily closed within the duration of the pest management program including:

  • the Marcoola section of the Mount Coolum National Park (the Mount Coolum main summit track is not affected and will remain open)
  • Maroochy River Conservation Park
  • Maroochy River Wetlands Conservation Park
