Partial closure: Misty mountains wilderness tracks, Wooroonooran National Park, Tully Gorge National Park and Tully Falls National Park.

This alert applies to the following parks:

Due to recent rains, significant tree fall and scheduled maintenance, some roads and tracks in the Misty Mountains network are closed as follows:

Cardwell Range walking track – CLOSED

Cannabullen Creek camping area – CLOSED

Cannabullen Creek walking track – CLOSED, except for the section from Maple Creek road to Hinson Creek camping area.

Hinson Creek camping area – OPEN

Carter Creek camping area - CLOSED

Cochable Creek camping area – OPEN, but this can only be accessed via the Cochable Creek/H Road, not from the west via Koolmoon creek track.

Koolmoon Creek headwaters trailhead walking track and camping area – CLOSED

Rhyolite Pinnacle trailhead walking track - CLOSED

Walters Waterhole trailhead walking track – CLOSED

The section of track between Djilgarrin trailhead and Walters Waterhole - OPEN

Walters Waterhole and camping area – OPEN, but these can only be accessed via the Djilgarrin trailhead walking track, not from the east via the Cochable Creek camping area.

Maalan Road from the Palmerston Highway to Bora Ground Road – CLOSED

Bora Ground Road - CLOSED

Gorrell track – OPEN, however the road has been closed for 700m leading up to the Mena Creek end of the Gorrell trail due to flood damage. Visitors can still access the trail by parking where the road has been closed and walking the 700m to the trailhead

All facilities are anticipated to re-open 1 June 2018.
