Roaming dogs on North Stradbroke Island

This alert applies to the following parks:

Campers and visitors to Main Beach on North Stradbroke Island are advised that a number of dogs have be sighted roaming the area, and maybe dangerous.

QPWS is working with other authorities to address this problem.

For your safety:

  • Supervise children including small teenagers at all times.
  • Lock up food stores and iceboxes.
  • Never store food or food containers in tents.
  • Secure all rubbish, fish and bait.
  • If camping with dogs ensure they are supervised and on a leash at all times.
