Cooloola Wilderness Trail partially open

This alert applies to the following parks:

Some sections on the Cooloola Wilderness Trail are now open. Stay alert for hazards and walk to suit the conditions.

Open areas:

  • Mullens car park to Neebs Waterhole
  • Neebs Waterhole to Harry’s Hut
  • Harry’s Hut to Fig Tree Point
  • Fig Tree Point to Boronia walk car park

Permits can be obtained online. Commercial tour operator and other permit or agreement holders can resume operations in open areas.

The following areas remain temporarily closed until declared safe:

  • Elanda Point to Fig Tree Point walking track section
  • Kin Kin Creek pedestrian bridge

Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.
