Access to Green Mountains section is via Lamington National Park Road ONLY

This alert applies to the following parks:

Following significant damage from ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie, Duck Creek Road from Kerry remains closed until further notice, as advised by Scenic Rim Regional Council. The Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) have also advised that Lamington National Park Road remains open, but is undergoing repairs, with temporary restrictions in place, as listed below.

Access to Green Mountains section (O'Reilly's) is via Canungra along Lamington National Park Road ONLY.

Please note that Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) have advised that while restoration repairs are underway on Lamington National Park Road, the following restrictions apply, until further notice:

  1. A 6 tonne load limit currently applies to Lamington National Park Road between Sarabah and O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, to ensure no further damage is caused to the road by heavy or long vehicles while restoration work is underway.
  2. A night time road closure will apply between 8pm and 6am, Sunday to Thursday with a full road closure of Lamington National Park Road starting approximately 17 kilometres from Canungra, to allow for night road works.
  3. DTMR will restrict caravans from travelling on Lamington National Park Road for the duration of the restoration repairs, due to potential damage they could cause and also the risk to road safety. Signage banning caravans have been installed.
