High Peak Island closed for feral animal control

This alert applies to the following parks:

From Monday 29th May 2017 to Wednesday the 31st May 2017 inclusive,the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a feral animal control program on High Peak Island which will consist of live firing operations involving ground and aerial shooting. A 2000 meter exclusion zone will be placed around the island during this period. Maritime Safety Queensland will be issuing a Notice to Mariners before commencement of operations.
