Our centres offer quality accommodation, facilities, meeting spaces, activity programs and delicious healthy catering. We promote safe and exciting participation in outdoor recreation and have all the skills to deliver the ideal experience for you and your group.

Queensland Recreation Centres provide children and young people, with the opportunity to participate in outdoor recreation by offering a range of instructor lead programs to the community.

We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people visiting our venues. In order to deliver on this commitment, we have developed a Child Protection Policy and Procedure (part of the Child and Youth Risk Management Strategy) for our venues to foster a safe and supportive environment for children and young people by identifying potential risks for harm and implementing strategies to minimise these risks.

The Strategy applies to all departmental representatives and visitors including:

  • All Staff (both employees and contracted agency staff)
  • Long term contractors
  • Volunteers
  • Work experience students/students on placement
  • SRS Venues clients
  • Occasional contractors
  • All visitors to SRS Venues

The child protection policy is reviewed annually and is available to all clients upon request. We consider this a core component of continuous review and improvement of child safe practices in line with being a premier recreation centre.
