Camping in Teerk Roo Ra National Park

Teerk Roo Ra National Park provides limited bush camping areas along Horseshoe Bay and Platypus Bay. You need to be self-sufficient when camping here. No fresh water or bins are provided. Open fires and generators are prohibited. Bring a gas or liquid fuel stove for cooking. Toilets are provided at Horseshoe Bay. There are no other toilets on the island.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.

  • Camping is only permitted in safe and existing bush campsites in the designated camping areas (refer to each site’s camping area map below).
  • For your own safety check for hazardous overhanging trees before setting up camp.
  • Removal of vegetation and clearing new sites is prohibited—fines apply.
